Bio:
As I worked over a decade as a photographer, I didn’t realize I was training to become a therapist. That time was about paying careful attention to the interplay of light and the particularities of my subjects. I learned that the act of being seen is one of the most essential human experiences. I needed a way to push deeper into these themes, and therapy provides that.
I engage therapy in a way that honors the mystery, complexity and integrative qualities of people. I hold a masters in the art of counseling psychology, and that art continues to evolve with careful attention and a sustained sense of curiosity.
As with photography, I'm always looking to utilize the tools that work best. I am a certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA (the governing body), my work is framed by Interpersonal Neurobiology, and I utilize ACT tools to help my clients.
